HOW TO PERFECT YOUR EYEBROWS WITH THE LATEST BEAUTY TRENDS
Professional eyebrow shaping
OK, threading isn’t new but if you’ve only ever plucked or had your brows waxed before we think it’s worth trying this instead. The therapist uses a long piece of thread to remove unwanted hairs, even the smallest ones. Most beauticians will offer a threading service, but we love Shavata Brow Studios, who do a full brow shape.
Our verdict: You’d think using a piece of string would leave room for error, but we found it targeted hairs better than any tweezers. We didn’t look as blotchy and red as we do after waxing, it was a lot less painful, and it costs around the same price as waxing, too.

Tint at home
You can now get pro results without a trip to the salon, thanks to Eylure Permanent Brow Tint. The kit comes in a dark brown or a mid-brown shade, and if you want a lighter look then leave it on for less time. Results last three to five weeks.
Our verdict: So easy to do – just mix together a blob of the colour with the developer – then use the applicator to apply neatly onto brows. The result was just as good and long-lasting as the salon version. Don’t get it on the skin around your brows though because it takes a while to wash off, and we recommend shaping your brows first.
The new salon superbrow
If you like a really bold brow, Lola Brows by Lash Perfect could be for you. A therapist applies tiny strokes of coloured gel (there are six shades to choose from) into the gaps between the hairs. It takes about 40 minutes and you have it topped up every three or so weeks.
Our verdict : The shape we got was great but the result felt strange, like plastic eyebrows, and to our taste it looked way too intense for a no make-up look. Good for those who like it bold, but definitely not for ‘understated’.
Brow growth serums put to the test
Our testers religiously applied these eyebrow serums that promise to strengthen and grow your brows. Here are the results after six weeks.
RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum
I noticed that my brows were less sparse, however, the results weren’t nearly as impressive as their eyelash serum (which I LOVE).
