Fendi Is Launching Its Double F Capsule Collection On Net-A-Porter

Fashion loves nostalgia, exhibited most congruously by Fendi’s capsule collection, previewed here, and launching at Net-A-Porter later this spring.

The release celebrates the heritage of Fendi, bolstered by the FF logo Karl Lagerfeld created for the brand circa 1965. The “archival squared version” that took flight in 1974 is printed on an array of enticing pieces, from modern parkas to classic fold-over bags. With logo mania at an all-time high on the Fall 2018 runways and scores of supermodels, fashion stars, and influencers flocking to Fendi's iconic print, Lagerfeld’s revamp of the double F logo he launched decades ago fits right in with the latest of branding phenomena.

From Donatella Versace’s tribute to Gianni to Christopher Bailey’s re-adaptation of head-to-toe plaid for Burberry, designers have been resurrecting trademarks from the past to appeal to a new Gen Z demographic. Fendi's new collection be available on May 14, 2018 via net-a-porter.com.
