3 Tips In Choosing The Best Foundation For Your Skin Tone

Foundation in makeup is to every makeup over, what cement is to a building. Thus, without having a solid foundation, the surface work wears off easily.

When selecting the best foundation formula, there are three key points you would want to consider and your correct shade: your skin type, desired coverage and skin tone;

1.YOUR SKIN TYPE:

First, you will need to understand what type of skin you have: dry, oily, normal or combination. Based on your skin type and your desired finish; matte, radiant, natural, you can select the foundation best suited to your needs. Remember, foundation is all about creating a healthy, smooth and consistent coloring throughout your face and neck.

2.DESIRED COVERAGE:

Selecting your coverage is the next step. Coverage means how much of your natural skin you want to show through your foundation.

3.BASIC SKIN TONE:

You need to determine your basic skin tone. Are you fair, moderately fair, medium, medium deep, deep or very deep? Your undertone is the colour that is most predominant in your skin after brown and white. The most common undertones are usually yellow, neutral, pink-red, or olive. There are a couple key areas on your body that will help you find your undertone, your neck and the inside of your arms. Once you’ve determined your ideal foundation formula, it’s best to pick at least three colours that appear to be close to your skin tone. Test them on a clean jaw line before you make your choice. The shade that disappears is the correct shade match.

Be sure to use enough foundation so that you get a clear idea of its true colour. A little dot won’t show you enough. In these ways, you’ll be able to choose the best foundations!
