BALMAIN SET TO LAUNCH ADORABLE KIDSWEAR

North West is already one of their biggest customers so it was only natural that Balmain would eventually launch a kidswear line.

Balmain head Olivier Rousteing and his team will bring a miniature collection to the masses in June, it was announced on Monday.
The 55-pieces collection will be available for girls and boys aged six to fourteen and was developed in-house.

Inspiration for the line will come from Balmain runway shows over the past five years and will be available in Balmain stores and online at Balmain.com.

Speaking to WWD about his motivation to start the line Rousteing said: “These are the same looks that, over the years, moms and dads have repeatedly pleaded with me to produce for their kids.”

“I think I first thought about designing kidswear when I dressed North… I had a conversation with Kim, and that was the beginning of how I really understood that the Balmain universe can also belong to kids.”From the campaign imagery we can spot some iconic Balmain favourites including tuxedo jackets, animal print tees and leather jackets
